About four kilometers north of Laqlouq, on the road toward Tannourine el-Faouqa and close to the village of Balaa, is an impressive 255-meter deep, three level huge limestone cavern, which was eroded by water over a period of 160 million years.

In winter and spring, the 90-meter waterfall runs fiercely down three natural bridges, providing some stunning images. The surrounding nature is breathtaking and you can easily spend half a day there. In 2017 a visitor center, cafe and other services were been added, greatly increasing the number of tourists and unfortunately degrading some of the natural beauty of the place. After parking your car, it is a 15 minute’ walk down into the gorge. If you are not in for the hike or wish to experience some adventure, a zip-line can take you down and up for 20.000 LBP. Entrance to the sinkhole is 3.000 LBP.
