St George Church
The St George Church was inaugurated in 1880 and houses the mummified body of the Ehden-born Youssef Bek Karam (1823 - 89), who protected the Maronites against the Druze and Ottomans and fought for an independent Lebanon. In front of the church is a large statue of the same local hero.

Mar Mama / Saint Mamas Chapel
Constructed in 749, the Mar Mama Chapel is probably the country’s oldest Maronite church.

Church of St Peter and Paul
With elements dating from the 13th century, the Church of St Peter and Paul is home to the grave of the Lebanese painter Salibael Douaihy.

Saydet al-Hosn (our lady of the Castle)
Located on top of a hill northwest of the village, the modern white star-shaped structure of Saydet al-Hosn is easily recognizable. It offers some great views of the village and surrounding area. Look for the lovely original 8th-century tiny chapel in the back.
