Resort
Located two kilometers southwest of the main town of Laqlouq (Oyoun el-Aalaq), the Laqlouq resort is known for its stunning alpine scenery. Ideal for beginners, intermediates and families with small children, it is the best place for cross-country skiing. A day pass is 17 USD during the week (14 USD half a day) and 23 USD in the weekends (17 USD half a day). There is a ski-school and rental equipment can be obtained at Laqlouq's rental at the slopes and in the Ehmej village at Mont Blanc or Anthony Ski.

Transportation
For a taxi from Beirut to Laqlouq, expect to pay 100,000 LBP, while from Byblos it will cost about 45,000 LBP. From Beirut to Laqlouq by car, take the coastal highway to the north. At Byblos, head east toward Annaya and Ehmej. From Ehmej, it is about another 11 kilometers to Laqlouq. Duration: 1.5 hrs.

Accommodation
Beautifully located, the basic (no TV) but clean and pleasant Hotel Shangri-La *** offers one to four person rooms. They also have one to three person rooms available at the Nirvana hotel, including several private chalets. A dinner at the restaurant or a BBQ is compulsory, although - based on the reviews - the food is nothing to write home about.
