Rassiyeh Hawsh el Omara
Food & Drinks

Locally known as Tabliyet Massaad and opened in 1967, Adel Massaad is famous for its taouk sandwich: toasted bread topped with sesame seed and filled with juicy pieces of chicken that are marinated in yogurt and lemon juice, all served on a wooden plate with garlic paste, coleslaw and fried potatoes. Definitely a must experience when you are in the area. His son, Imad Massaad, opened a comparable chain of restaurants called Tabliet Massaad in Hazmieh, Gemmayzeh and in downtown Zahle.

To get to Massaad Barbecue from Zahle’s Brasil Street, take the road opposite of LibanPost, leading up to the hospital. After the second curve, go straight and you will find Massaad Barbecue on your left after about 70 meters (in a curve).
