Ski & Snowboard areas

Resort
Previously known as Faraya, the modern and well-equipped resort of Mzaar Kfardebian is the country’s largest and most popular snow destination. It is located southeast of Faraya in an area called Oyoun el-Simane and consists of three interconnected domains: Refuge, Jonction and Wardeh. The 80 kilometers of trails offer snow pleasure to beginners through to advanced, for both (cross-country) skiers and snowboarders. The area is also well-equipped for snowmobiles and rental snowmobiling is organized by Ski Lebanon.

The rate for ski passes varies, depending on the domains and slopes. A normal day pass for the whole area is 33 USD during weekdays and 63 USD over the weekend. A season pass can be obtained for 800 USD. Rental equipment can be obtained at numerous places in the area.

Transportation
For a taxi from Beirut, expect to pay around 65,000 LBP. From Beirut to Mzaar Kfardebian (Oyoun el-Simane) by car, take the coastal highway to the north and turn right about one kilometer after the Nahr el-Kalb bridge in the direction of Ajaltoun and Jeita Grotto. Keep straight and in Fayroun, take the left fork toward Mayrouba and follow the road to Faraya. Just after the center of Faraya, keep left from where the road winds up toward Oyoun el-Simane. Duration: 1.5 hr.
