There are several organization and clubs offering water activities on Nahr el-Assi, the 489-kilometer long Orontes River.

Assi Club Hermel
This club offers rafting and kayaking and is located just northeast of Hermel and about two kilometers north of the Assi Bridge (Jisr al-Assi). It also has a camping with simple wooden chambers and tents, and a restaurant serving Lebanese mezze and local trout.

Jannat al-Assi
Located 1300 meters north of the Assi Bridge, this rafting club also offers camping or overnight stays in a bungalow (bring your own towels, bed sheets or sleeping bag). The local restaurant there serves traditional Lebanese food.

Niagara Rafting offers rafting and kayaking, several kinds of lodging options and meals. The club is located nearby Assi Club. If you do not have your own transportation and you are with a group of 22 to 50 persons, a pick-up from Beirut can be arranged (12 - 15 USD per person).
