About five kilometer southwest of the Umayyad archeological site and just west of the village of Majdal Aanjar, a first-century Roman temple is situated on top of a hill; worth a detour, provided you have your own transportation. The fortifications of the temple were added in the seventh and eight centuries in order to guard the bypassing caravan route.

On the main road from Chtaura to Masnaa and Rachaya, Majdal Aanjar is clearly signposted to the right.
