From Beirut to Aanjar, take a minivan to Chtaura and there switch to a minibus toward Syria. This minibus can drop you off at the main road just west of Aanjar. Duration: 30 - 60 min. / Costs: 3,000 - 4,000 LBP. To reach Aanjar from there (a 20 minute’ walk), turn left.
A taxi from Zahle or Chtaura will probably cost around 20,000 LBP. For a one-way taxi from Beirut to Aanjar, expect to pay around 75,000 LBP. You can also negotiate a taxi from and to Beirut, which is mostly worthwhile if you are with more people and/or you plan to combine a visit to Aanjar with other sights and activities in the area. Expect to pay 120,000 LBP for half a day and about 180,000 LBP for a full day.
From Chtaura to Aanjar by car, take the right fork (straight) toward Rachaya and Frontiers Syrian. After about 11 kilometers, turn left toward Aanjar. Duration: about 15 min.
