Transportation Batroun and surroundings

From Beirut by public transport, minibuses to Batroun leave from Charles Helou bus station or Dowra. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the highway near the second cross overpass (‘jisr al-mushat’) at Batroun. For the southernmost beach clubs, ask the bus driver to drop you off on the side of the highway, just before the large checkpoint of Batroun. Duration: 45 - 60 min. / Costs: 3,500 LBP.

For a taxi from Beirut to Batroun, expect to pay 50,000 LBP. Duration: about 45 min.

From Beirut and Byblos to the center of Batroun by car, take the coastal highway to the north. After passing the large checkpoint at Madfoun, take the right exit to Batroun and follow the signs to the old souks. To reach the southernmost beach areas, it is best to hit the seaside road, which can be accessed taking the right exit, just before the large checkpoint at Madfoun (there are signs indicating a wine route). Duration: about 45 min.
