From Beirut, the only way to get to Deir el-Qamar by public transport is to take a minibus from the Cola Intersection in the direction of the Shouf. Get off at Kfarhim village (about 45 minutes from Beirut) and from there, take a Servees or taxi to Deir el-Qamar. Duration: 1.5 - 2 hrs. / Cost: 3,000 LBP (excluding Servees / taxi).
For a taxi from Beirut to Deir el-Qamar, expect to pay around 55,000 LBP. Duration: about 1 hr.
From Beirut to Deir el-Qamar by car, take the coastal highway to the south. Near Damour, take the exit toward ‘Beit ed Dine’ from where the road rises and turns land inwards. When entering Deir el-Qamar, continue until you reach the medieval center with its main square on the left. Duration: 1 hr.
