Beiteddine

Situated about 45 kilometers from Beirut and four kilometers from Deir el-Qamar, Beiteddine, once the center of power of Lebanon, is home to the best and most spectacular example of early 19th-century Lebanese architecture: Beiteddine Palace.

The village itself, situated on a 900-meter hilltop overlooking the palace, is almost negligible and has little to offer.
