Mount Lebanon

The northern, predominantly Christian, part of Mount Lebanon stretches from Beirut to just south of the coastal town of Batroun. In this area, the mountain villages of Beit Mery and Broummana and the coastal town of Jounieh are popular summer destinations, while the inscriptions of the Nahr el-Kalb gorge, the stunning caves of Jeita Grotto, and the pretty, old harbor town of Byblos are great to explore all year through. For nature lovers, northern Mount Lebanon is specifically attractive for its Mount Sannine, the green reserves of Bentael and Jabal Moussa, as well as the river banks and large cave of the beautiful Adonis Valley.
