Qadisha Valley & Surroundings

The beautiful and peaceful Qadisha Valley and its surroundings are best visited in summer (May through September) and winter (December through April). In summer, you can easily enjoy yourself there for a few days, exploring the valley, the quiet mountain village of Bcharre and the nearby old cedar forest. Other highlights include a hike to the highest peak of Qornet es-Sawda; a visit to the ponds and springs of Oyoun Orghosh, the summer town and nature reserve of Ehden, the Tannourine Nature Reserve and close-by Balaa sinkhole; or a lunch or dinner at the waterfalls in Kfar Helda. Be aware that even in summer, evenings can get chilly. In winter, the duration of your stay in this area all depends on how much of a snow fanatic you are.
