Hike in Green Lebanon

Indulge Yourself with a Local Wine Tasting Tour

Enjoy a gorgeous guided hike in Lebanon’s largest biosphere reserve and discover the magnificence of its many cedar, pine and oak trees. For our organized tours, we offer two different hikes, depending on the season. Our 4 to 5 hours spring and autumn hike (14 km, level 5) will start down from the Barouk entrance of the Shouf Cedar Reserve, from where we will follow the mountain ridge toward Ain Zhalta, providing some great views over the Beqaa Valley.

We end our hike with passing through the gorgeous and dense cedar reserve of Ain Zhalta. Our summer hike is a 3.5 hour guided loop hike (8.5 km, level 5) starting at the Maasser el-Shouf entrance, from where we will follow the hiking trail toward the end of the Barouk forest, partly under the shade of cedar trees and providing some great views over the entire Shouf region. We'll hike our way back through another part of the Maasser el-Shouf reserve, from where at the end you have great views on the western part of the Beqaa Valley and its beautiful lake Qaraoun. On your way, you will have a picnic break during which you will relish a freshly prepared lunch bag full of home-made pleasures.
