Jiyyeh - Mostafa’s A-frame
If you want to learn how to surf or if you are already a surfer but you don’t have a board, this is probably the best place to go. You’ll find certified instructors and a wide range of boards for rent to choose from, and wave wise it’s the most constant spot. They also offer SUP (Stand Up Paddling).

To reach this spot by car from Beirut, take the coastal highway in the direction of Saida. Leave the highway at the exit to Jiyyeh and continue southon the town’s main street.

Look at your right for a surf shop (Surf Lebanon)where you can either buy wax or gear up, or make a very sharp right turn at the cornerof the store. Then continue straight, pass the mosque and drive through thegreenhouses and you will find the spot at the end of the road.

Do you want to get updates and see pictures on site, or want to contact the locals and ask them a question? Just check out the Surf Lebanon Facebook page.

As Jiyyeh is a predominantly Muslim town, wearing a bikini or swimming trunks without a shirt is only permissible on the beaches, not in town.

Sour (Tyre)
Feeling like having a spot for yourself? Local surfers will assure there are spots out there in Tyre with zero persons in the water, though few will be able to point you exactly where. Probably your best chance is asking the Lebanese Californian local guru Ali Elamine. He is the one answering the messages on the Surf Lebanon Facebook page.
