From Beirut by public transport, there is a direct minibus to Bcharre served by Esthphane Transport (+961 (0)6 671 108 / (0)3 534 701). Except for Sundays, the bus leaves almost every hour from the little roundabout near DowraDuration: 2.5 - 3.5 hrs. / Costs: 7,000 LBP. Alternatively, take a bus from Beirut to Tripoli, then catch a minibus from outside the Marco Polo Travel agency, just along the tourist office, which is operated by the Bcharre Transport Company (+961 (0)6 672 166). Duration from Tripoli to Bcharre: 1.25 hrs. / Costs: 5,000 LBP.

A one-way trip by taxi from Beirut to Bcharre will cost around 100,000 LBP. For a full day taxi from Beirut to Bcharre and back, including a trip to The Cedars and Qadisha Valley, expect to pay around 225,000 LBP.

From Beirut to Bcharre by car, take the coastal highway north in the direction of Tripoli. About 12 kilometers after Batroun, take the exit to Bcharre, from where the road will slowly rise into the mountains, passing Chekka, Amioun and Kousba. The signs will lead you to Bcharre (‘Becharreh’/ Bsharri’). Duration: 1.5 - 2 hrs.
