Ski & Snowboard areas

Resort
The private resort of Zaarour is a bit larger than Qanat Bakish and located southeast of Baskinta. It was recently rebuilt and is favorite for its snow quality. The resort is ideal for beginners and intermediates, families with children and cross country-skiers; it offers a four kilometer’ trail for the latter. A ski-pass costs 20 USD during weekdays (10 USD after 12:00) and 40 USD over the weekend (20 USD after 12:00). Rental equipment can be found in Mike's Sport at the slopes or at Mike's Sport and Dagher Sport in Mrouj village.

Transportation
For a taxi from Beirut to Zaarour, expect to pay around 65,000 LBP. The shortest way from Beirut to Zaarour by car - although not very well signposted - is to take the coastal highway to the north and take the exit toward Antelias. From there, follow the main road curling up to Bikfaya. From Bikfaya, continue southeast toward Dhour el-Choueir and Mrouj. Alternatively, take the road via Sin el Fil, Mansourieh, Beit Mery, Broummana, Baabdat and Bikfaya. From Bikfaya, follow the road as described above. Duration: 1.5 hr.
