Beqaa Wineries

Picture

The small winery of Chateau Khoury  was opened in 2004 and introduced some new grapes to the country, such as Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The winery is surrounded by its own vineyards and located in a stone residence, just northwest of Zahle and on the eastern foothills of Mount Lebanon.

A visit can be arranged by phone a few days in advance.

To get there from Chtaura, take the left fork toward Zahle and Taalabaya. About six kilometers after the fork, take a left at the large roundabout toward ‘centre ville Zahle’, which will lead onto Brazil Street. From here, take the left road up just after Liban Post (located on your right) and turn the first left following the Arabic sign to Dour el-Choueir and Bikfaya. Continue up and take the second left just after the Joseph Skaff Park and then immediately left again (again following the Arabic signs to Dour el-Choueir and Bikfaya). Follow the road to the right just before the hospital and at the next fork keep right, again following the same Arabic signs. From here, keep straight until you see the signs to the winery to the left after about 8 minutes.
