Car Rental Beirut

In order to rent a car in Lebanon, you need to be over 21 or 23 years old, depending on the car rental agency. Driving a car in Lebanon, especially in Beirut, requires some experience and guts, and is far from boring. Depending on the season - high season in summer - rates start at about 30 USD/day; check whether insurance is included. At most car rental agencies, a deductible of up to 550 USD including VAT is applicable, which will need to be paid as a deposit (credit card). If you rent a car with people you do not know very well, it is advised to make clear agreements on division of costs in case of a penalty or accident. If you do not know your way in Lebanon, consider renting a GPS system (about 8 USD/day). Most car rental companies offer a car delivery and pick up service, although you have to specifically request this.
