The deep Adonis Valley, starting about five kilometers south of Byblos, is situated along the banks of the Nahr Ibrahim (Adonis River) and is about 30 kilometers long.

The green and beautiful mountain scenery offers a pleasant environment for a swim in the river, a hike along the caves and inlets or a drive through its mountains.

Other reasons for visiting the area are the numerous ancient ruins and the impressive Afqa Grotto located in the far east of the valley. To fully explore the valley takes at least a whole day.
