Located in the Kesrewan area, about 15 kilometers southeast of Byblos and just south of the Ibrahim river (Nahr Ibrahim), the Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve covers 6,500 hectares of flora and fauna. It is located at an altitude ranging from 350 meters in the west to 1700 meters in the east. The four main entrances of the reserve are located in Qehmez (Baydar el-Shawk), Mchati - both south of the reserve - , and in Chouwan and Yahchouch, both located at the north side of the reserve. The entrance fee to the reserve is 8,000 LBP (4,000 LBP for children).

The Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa (APJM) created several hiking trails of variable length, to be explored as part of their one-day hiking packages with an optional home-made lunch.
