Byblos Archeological Site
Excavations at Byblos’ archeological site started in 1860 and revealed the rich past of the town.
Entrance fees: 8,000 LBP for foreigners 5,000 LBP for Lebanese 2,000 LBP for students
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday 08:00 am to 05:00 pm during winter, and to 06:00 pm in summer.

Byblos Harbor
The current shallow harbor of Byblos is likely the old fishing harbor. At both sites of the entrance are the remains of a defensive tower added by the Crusaders and reshaped by the Mamluks; in the water the ramparts are still visible.

The Old Souqs and Roman Road
The attractive renovated souqs in Byblos were constructed during Ottoman times. Just before entering the old souqs, the remains of a Roman road including colonnades are on your right.

Saint John the Baptist Church (Eglise St Jean Marc)
The Roman church of Saint John the Baptist was built in 1115, and several structures, such as the 13th-century cupola, were added over time. In the 18th century, emir Youssef Shehab passed the church to the Maronites.

Sultan Abdul Majid Mosque
The 1648 blue-domed Ottoman Sultan Abdul Majid mosque is located next to the tourist office and was restored in 1783.
