There are multiple ways to escape from the hustle and bustle of Beirut. Lebanon is small and many sites can be visited on daytrips from Beirut. If you have seen the most obvious places, feel like doing something active or want to explore less travelled areas, the options are numerous.

Lebanon has a large number of local outdoor activity organizations that regularly organize (several) day trips from Beirut. These include hiking trips to Baskinta and Mount Sannine, Bentael Nature Reserve, Jebel Moussa Reserve, Adonis Valley, Oyoun el-Samak, Jabal Qammouah, Qadisha Valley, Qornet es-Sawda, Horsh Ehden Reserve, Tannourine Nature Reserve, Yammouneh Nature Reserve and Shouf Cedar Reserve. Other activities include wine tasting near Zahle, rafting in Hermel, caving, rock climbing, snowshoeing, abseiling, biking and olive picking. Expect to pay between 30,000 and 70,000 LBP, depending on the organization, activity and distance, which mostly includes transport from Beirut, guides and insurance.
